Chayim Cohen

He graduated from the College for Educational Social Workers (certified teacher). For many years, he held several positions in the Jerusalem Municipality, including chairman of the Events and Arts Department, the Israel Youth and Social Workers Association, the Association of Employees of the Jerusalem Municipality, and Department of Professional Unions in Jerusalem. He also served on the boards of various organizations, such as the Coordinating Committee of the Histadrut Labor Union, Yahad–United for Israel’s Soldiers, the National Insurance Council, the Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation, and the Jerusalem City Council. Today, Cohen is on the board of directors of the Council for a Beautiful Israel and chairs the North African Jewish Heritage Center in Jerusalem, a position previously held by Yitzhak Navon. He is also Vice President of the World Sephardi Federation and Chairman of the organization’s Israel chapter.
